Aoba, also known as Ambae, is a large elongate (16 x 32 km) shield volcano in the New Hebrides archipelago. There are two nested calderas, as well as numerous cones and vents. No geodetic measurements have been made at Aoba, but recent volcanic eruption (1995, 2005, 2011) have occurred.
