Observations of Deformation
Volcano number: | 305060 |
---|---|
Region: | Kamchatka and Mainland Asia |
Country: | China-North Korea |
Geodetic measurements? | Yes |
Deformation observation? | Yes |
Measurement method(s): | InSAR, GPS - campaign, Levelling |
Duration of observation: | 1995 to 1998; 2002 to 2003 |
Inferred cause(s) of deformation: | Uncertain |
Characteristics of deformation: | Chen et al. (2008) use InSAR to obtain the deformation field in the Changbai Mountains region. They reveal “a 6~12 cm line-of-sight (LOS) deformation in the Jianbai Mountain region from 1995 to 1998, which is located southeast of the Mt. Changbai volcano, but little deformation in the Tianchi volcano region”. |
