No geodetic measurements have ever been made at San Carlos, a 2260 m high stratovolcano on the SW of Bioko Island (just off the coast of Cameroon). Little is known about this volcano, despite being classified as having being active in the last 2000 years (International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth’s Interior, 1973).
