No geodetic measurements have ever been made at San Carlos, a 2260 m high stratovolcano on the SW of Bioko Island (just off the coast of Cameroon). Little is known about this volcano, despite being classified as having┬ábeing active in the last 2000 years (International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth’s Interior, 1973).
