Evgenia Ilyinskaya is an Associate Professor at the School of Earth and Environment, University of Leeds.

After finishing her PhD at the University of Cambridge, she worked at the Icelandic volcano observatory (part of the Icelandic Met Office), where she pioneered implementation of volcanic gas measurements as a monitoring tool for Icelandic volcanic systems (2011-2012). She still collaborates closely with the Icelandic Met Office.

Evgenia worked as a volcanologist at the British Geological Survey 2012-2015 before becoming a University Academic Fellow at University of Leeds in 2015 and an Associate Professor in 2020.
