Associate membership

COMET associate members are a vital and valued part of our membership who contribute greatly to the Centre’s goals and objectives.

COMET associates are normally UK-based researchers working on complementary topics, often in collaboration with our existing members.

COMET associate members are not directly funded by COMET but are invited to annual science meetings (and other meetings as appropriate), have access to some internal funding opportunities, are included in internal communications, and encouraged to collaborate and engage with COMET members for mutual benefit.  The COMET Executive will review the status of COMET associates annually.

COMET also has a thriving student community. While a few studentships are funded directly by COMET, most of the students within the COMET community are externally funded. Any students who are supervised by COMET members (including COMET Associates) are automatically granted COMET membership.

If you are interested in becoming a COMET associate please contact us at comet@leeds.ac.uk to request a short application form.
