Weiyu Zheng

COMET Postdoctoral Researcher: Earth Observation and Volcanoes
University of Bristol

Areas of Expertise: InSAR data processing, geomechanical modeling

Weiyu Zheng is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol, where she processes InSAR data to monitor and analyze volcanic deformation globally. Her research focuses on time-series analysis of ground deformation using LiCSAR and LiCSBAS, with the goal of understanding magmatic processes and eruption precursors. Weiyu became a member of COMET in 2024 when she started her postdoctoral position at Bristol. Before joining the University of Brsitol, she completed her PhD at Southern Methodist University (US) in 2023, where she studied injection-induced deformation using InSAR and geomechanical modeling.
