Juliet Biggs is a Professor at the University of Bristol and co-Director of COMET. Juliet uses satellite data to study volcanic and tectonic deformation. Since starting a COMET-funded PhD studentship in 2003, she has been involved with COMET in various roles before becoming co-Director in 2024. She currently leads the ERC consolidator grant, MAST, and is a member of the Mission Advisory Group for the European Space Agency Mission, Harmony.
Juliet completed a PhD in 2008 at the University of Oxford, and went on to hold research fellowships in the US and Oxford before taking up a lectureship at the University of Bristol in 2010. Juliet works closely with collaborators around the world, including Ethiopia, Malawi, Ecuador, France, Czechia and the US.
