Observations of Deformation
Volcano number: | 221100 |
---|---|
Region: | Africa and Red Sea |
Country: | Eritrea |
Geodetic measurements? | Yes |
Deformation observation? | No |
Measurement method(s): | InSAR |
Duration of observation: | 2005 - 2010 |
Characteristics of deformation: | Pagli, et al. (2014), for the purposes of investigating regional velocity fields, has looked at Envisat InSAR data covering this volcano. They report no deformation at this stratovolcano. Dubbi erupted most recently in 1861, which was also the earliest eyewitness account of an eruption in Afar (Wiart et al 2000). |
