Observations of Deformation

Volcano number:221122
Region:
Country:Ethiopia-Djibouti
Geodetic measurements?Yes
Deformation observation?No
Measurement method(s):InSAR
Duration of observation:2005 - 2010
Characteristics of deformation:

Pagli, et al. (2014), for the purposes of investigating regional velocity fields, has looked at Envisat InSAR data covering this volcano. They report no deformation associated with these north-west trending fissures or pyroclastic cones. The most recent confirmed eruption, which consisted of lava flows, was in 1928 or 1929 (Siebert and Simkin, 2002).
