| Characteristics of deformation: | Haruj is a 45,000 sq km volcanic field, with > 150 volcanoes, scoria cones and explosion craters. No geodetic measurements have been made at Haruj. K-Ar whole rock age dating has been conducted, however, to determine that volcanic activity occured at Haruj between 6.0 and 0.4 Mya (Ade-Hall et al. 1974). |
