Telica

Observations of Deformation

Volcano number:344040
Region:
Country:Nicaragua
Geodetic measurements?Yes
Deformation observation?No
Measurement method(s):InSAR, GPS - continuous
Duration of observation:2007-2010 (InSAR), 2010-2013 (continuous GPS)
Characteristics of deformation:

No deformation was detected at Telica (detection threshold 1.8 cm/yr) during an ALOS survey of Central American volcanoes (Ebmeier et al., 2013).
No transient deformation was observed in a 10 station cGPS network during eruptions at Telica during March-June 2011 (Geirsson et al., 2014)
